He had served as the skills trainer of Sun Yue for 4 years to work closely with his skill development while serving as the assistant coach of Beijing Aoshen (2005-2011). Basketball Hall of Famer), Fred Vinson (assistant coach of Detroit Pistons), etc.

From 2011 to 2015, Coach Michael was a FIBA agent and running his own basketball agency and skills academy in Southern California. Other than scouting and representing professional players/coaches to help them get contracts with the overseas clubs, he also did a lot of player development, camps, clinics for all levels from student athletes to pros here in the US, as well as many high school basketball camps and clinics in China, Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia. During this period of time, he was also the coach of the sponsored professional travel team, Elite Talent Exchange, which they had done many international games in the countries like Mexico, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, and China, and we also participated in Los Angeles Summer Pro League in three different years.
